Small Scale Technology Certificate
Homeowners and small companies across Australia who are seeking to install solar, as opposed to those already with solar PV systems can take advantage of the small-scale technology certificate (STC) to help with purchase costs.
Benefits
Small Technology Certificates (STCs) are created by installing a solar system of 100 kW or less. Each of these STCs can be sold for up to $35-$40 depending on the clearinghouse.
For example, a 6.66 kW solar system installed in South Australia in 2023 will have around 72 STCâs. Consider that if each STC had a selling price of $37, the total rebate would be $2664.
The STC earned by your SA solar system varies by the following factors

âĒ installation date, and
âĒ Deeming period.
